Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how RivalRaise ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on rivalraise.com and our other UK domains. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as login state or consent choice) and help us understand how the site is being used.

2. Cookies we use

a) Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They include:

  • Authentication cookies set by our backend provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in.
  • Consent cookie (rr_consent_v1, stored in localStorage) — remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every visit.

No consent is required for essential cookies under UK GDPR / PECR.

b) Analytics cookies (optional)

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-B1RTVEDS4F) to understand how visitors find and use RivalRaise so we can improve the product. GA4 sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* in your browser. IP addresses are anonymised.

Analytics cookies only run after you accept in the cookie banner. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics storage is denied by default until you grant consent.

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or marketing cookies.

3. How consent is managed

On your first visit you'll see a cookie banner with two options:

  • Accept all — analytics cookies are enabled and your choice is stored for future visits.
  • Reject — analytics cookies stay off; only essential cookies are used.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser. We do not share your consent decision with any third party.

4. Withdrawing or changing consent

You can change your mind at any time:

  • Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page to re-open the banner.
  • Clear your browser's site data for rivalraise.com — the banner will reappear.
  • Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to block GA4 globally.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
